The only difference between Deschamps and Southgate to this point is that the former managed to get over the line in a tournament.

I get what you are saying but it’s a pretty big difference 😂

What a well drilled and workman like team Slovenia are.

Flag watch; quite a few neutrals tonight. Germany, Greece, Georgia, Switzerland, Tajikistan (again) and one of the Arab countries. Do European flags get dispayed at AFCON of the Copa America?

Wonder what it's like in the Portuguese dressing room after the match or does Ronaldo have his own dressing room?

His ego has its own changing room

It looks similar to the Hungarian flag; red, white & green stripes, but the Tajiks have a sunburst in the centre of the white stripe. The country,  a former member of the Soviet Union, is near Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

Must interview extremely well 🤣

What has Martinez ever achieved in management? Swansea, then Wigan and Everton before international football at Belgium and now Portugal.

I’d like to his record in management.

I'd like his record in redundancy payments

Not easy to do sides that set up to stink the gaff out. Even the superior half of the draw finding it out.

I think Slovenia are playing superbly

Agree....maybe England didn't have that bad a showing against them.....it's been difficult for all the teams with expectation....not saying we weren't poor....we were....

Understand it now. When they defend well against England it’s only because England are absolute shit but do it against Portugal and it’s because they are outstanding. Thanks for clearing that up everyone 😂😂😂😂

"It wasn't as explosive a first half as the second half, but the second half was still good. You can't afford to take chances as you'll be the one remembered for it."

not one part of this Pat Nevin quote makes any ******* sense!!!

Wow. Some amazing numbers in there. Some forwards would be happy to score 77 career goals total, to score 77 free kicks is obscene.

Juninho the ex-Lyon player rather than Boro one I’m assuming?

To be fair, I don't think I've score 60 odd goals in my 45 years on this spinning rock in space! 🤣
