A total of 745 clubs will take part in the Emirates FA Cup during the 2024-25 season from the Premier League down to Step 5 of the National League System, with the list of teams accepted into the competition now revealed. 

 

Sporting Club Inkberrow, Berks County and FC St Helens are among the tournament debutants this year, with Manchester United the current holders of the trophy. There are 13 more clubs involved than in 2023-24.

On Friday 5 July, The FA will release the following information:

- The Emirates FA Cup – Extra preliminary round and preliminary round draws
- The Isuzu FA Trophy – Preliminary round and first round qualifying draws
- The Isuzu FA Vase – First round qualifying and second round qualifying draws
- The FA Youth Cup – Extra preliminary round and preliminary round draws

It brings home what a great competition it is when you see Liverpool listed between Liversedge and Littlehampton Town!

On a side note I can`t see Okehampton Argyle listed. I`m surprised if they haven`t entered since they did really well last season. I must try and find out what`s going on there.

Mentioned on the radio this morning that Ashington (most Northerly club to have been members of the league) will be playing Bishop Auckland who've won the Amateur Cup more times than anyone else.

The draw for the FA Cup 1st Qualifying around has been published.

Clubs at Step 3 enter the competition at this stage.

Ties to be played on Saturday 31st August.

There's at least one error below, fixture 103, Barnstaple won 4-1 on Saturday

The FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round tie between Lordswood and Sittingbourne will be available to watch live on the BBC.

The game will kick off at 12.30pm.

Both clubs will receive a £2,000 fee from The FA.
