Scored a nice goal today.

Great strike from outside the area.

A few more like that and he'll be on his way back here.

Good news.

I think this should prove a decent loan move for Seb, hope so anyway.

Yes that's how it was sold to him.

Days later, Dundee then signed a 30 year old centre forward who scored 21 goals last season as well !

So fingers crossed he gets enough minutes.

Hope so, he has a Goal off the bench and got a great one v Lech Poznan I thunk- his Goal and at least 2 other Shots hopefully will show he is lively, can compete etc.

Competing for his place may also be not a bad thing, big balancing act.

SPH's goal near the end. No clue what language the commentary is in...

Played at Glebe Park, Brechin.  The hedge is a giveaway.  Dundee had terrible problems with their pitch last season, so assume it’s been relaid and not yet ready.

Just got another!

Good for SPh, but it’s a shame to see the state ICT have got themselves in.  Close to going bust it would seem

Mods:  since this loan was long ago confirmed please move the thread to the main forum.

  • The title was changed to Palmer-Houlden to Dundee (LOAN CONFIRMED)

The Scottish Fixture Computer doesn't mess about foes it?

First match of the new season Sunday 4th August, away to Dundee Utd. Nice way to get yourself bedded in Seb. :)

Honestly think we may regret letting him out on loan this season!

I'm assuming we have a Jan recall option so he can come back and fire us toward 12th place.

Really dislike the Sky commentator calling him 'Sebastian'.

I don’t, I think he’s in the right league for his ability atm. Next season might be a different story though. A lot of this SPL stuff below the big 2 is League 1 standard.

Wondered how long into the season we would go before someone would post this.

First half of the first game, not bad.

Very much his decision to decide to go out on loan, but let’s not let facts like that get in the way, eh?

If the club thought he was anywhere near he wouldn’t have had a say. He’s had no impact second half. Not a criticism, he’s at the correct level for his progress and ability and he will be a lot nearer next season.

Just thinking out loud, but is SP-H the first City contracted player to play in (let alone score in ) a "local"derby League game in nearly 25 years

No Weimann scored for West Brom v Birmingham in February

Seb has had a phenomenal rise, in his debut season in senior football he played 34 league two games, scoring 7 & he got a couple of cup goals too.

Thinking he’s the answer now because he’s scored against Dundee United is grasping at straws though.

Wasn’t having a go at the club, calm down!! I mean if he bangs in 15-20 goals in SPL, Rangers and Celtic will prob be sniffing and we’d prob not be able to turn and bid from them down. Would be a shame not to see him in a city shirt

Agreed, he is progressing very nicely and no he isn’t the answer RIGHT NOW. Aside from a few games he will be playing opposition that isn’t Championship standard.

errrrrr......whats a local derby mean?......

Exactly

Reckon it is quite a good loan for him at this stage of his career.

Hopefully we will benefit in a year, and hopefully he flourishes.

I hope the service to him improves. Seemed to make a few decent runs and took up some good positions , but that final ball was poor. So many underhit passes to runners in the box, specially early. Maybe having a local derby on the opening day played a part , we shall see.
Debut goal on the opening day of the season, against your local rivals, is none too shabby though.
