Even if Southgate turns it round I would sack him tomorrow morning.

I’m happy if it stays like this. With that imposter gone we’ll have the opportunity to see if anyone can create a team out of these undoubtedly talented players.

TAA, Palmer, Gordon, Watkins on please

Blimey this is so poor. The fact he thinks anything was going to change with something that clearly hasn't worked all tournament. Madness

That's what Mrs Downend tells me every Friday night, when she tells me she has a headache! :shocking:

It's ******* painful seeing this in person, how can Southgate think this lopsided nonsense can work. Kane just ambling around

At least the young lads like Saka and Mainoo are trying to do something instead of the left side always going inside and backwards

Have a mate arriving in Europe this week from Perth, Australia. He gambled on England making the QFs!

I only got tickets for a game in Hamburg for a QF so was never England, but this will be humiliating being mocked by Germans and others alike for this result

Apparently that was about possession football building from the back and pivoting.

UTTER CRAP!

We create nothing from build-up.  It’s a effing myth.

The performance of a side trying to get the manager sacked - utter garbage

I rather feel they are players used to Pep , Klopp , Arteta , Ancelotti etc and now have Southgate . The team is unbalanced and being asked to play in a manner they do not for their clubs . They are not convinced or committed to the Southgate approach. They are all looking at each other , getting frustrated with each other .

These last 4 games , are probably the worst I have seen England play at a tournament final in my many decades . If you add in who the opposition has been , the level of failure is catastrophic.

The issue will be , there are no stand out successful English managers to replace him with .

I think we have to accept that England are one of the lesser teams  in this tournament.

It takes something for Southgate to make this team less than the sum of it's parts!

Absolutely dreadful, ponderous and dull . . .and that's just the bottler in charge.

Its utter madness playing pretty much the same players for the last four games and expecting a different outcome. Utter madness.

I think the problem is these England players work week in, week out with some of the best managers in the world.

Then for England they work under Southgate and they must think, you ain’t got a clue, mate

Said it since the Italy game, we should have thanked him for what he’s done with the team but that should have been it.
GS will not leave England and get a top 10 PL job.

We need to stop judging these players as club players and judge them in an England shirt.  If you do, you see they aren’t as good as many think at the top level.  They’re decent but they blend into average in the main, bar a few stars.

Why do we insist on this double pivot. One CDM, 2 8s in the channels,  left footed LB (i know i know) Kane can pull in a centre back to find an overlappingg winger or pop it back to an underlapping 8.

Enough of Southgate Haram-ball

They should have chatted to klopp before this tournament, some passion and fight, who can actually win something. Whether he would take it is another matter!

The classic “you’ve got 5 mins to prove you deserve to be out there”.  That’s bollox, that’s lack of ownership.

9/10 of the players have played most of the last 4 games ffs

Completely clueless, sadly.

Yes but they are up against similar opposition, they should be able to play like any other team in this tournament

They proved themselves in three previous games. That’s the problem. Nothing will happen in next 5 mins that changes what has happened all tournament. As you say, total lack of ownership. And for serious structural problems in the team, too.

How is it we have a Turkish ref? His team are still in the competition and on our side....
