Raynes Road exit gates

Hi Jerry, 

Just wanted to flag and question the closing of the double gates at full time today. A good few thousand heading towards that exit ending up in a bottleneck that could have been extremely dangerous and risked crushing.

Tempers were getting very frayed at not just the refusal to open them but also the lack of any explanation. Some tried to open them but were barked at to stop.

Could have been a very nasty and potentially dangerous situation arising out of that today. Would be interested to know the rationale behind it.

Thanks for the message, just finally got a reply from security.

 

This was an old one where we instructed a steward to do one thing and he did the opposite. Its part of our post match plans now that we check the gates have been opened.
