Bird has been fantastic, easily a consistent performer too and with Twine on the left we've had some great deliveries, not to mention when we attack he often comes inside and plays like a second AM anyway so I don't see any issue there. If Twine wasn't playing that role what would you do with Bird? Drop him? Put him back and replace Knight who battles hard and closes down very well? Replace Williams I would expect would be the answer but then you're replacing the only player who does the dirty work and off-the-ball lane cutting. If he was also a top level finisher at his young age, he would not be in the Championship. You have to be patient with him, he's effective and will continue to generate a lot of opportunities.
