I was (and still am ) a couple of decades older than you, but your description of Dave Smith is pretty much how I remember him. He was extremely quick, though, and great fun to watch. I quite liked Wimbleton , though he pushed it with the Penalty miss at Cardiff . Wish I still had that footage. Rennie and Shelton were a great combo , as were Turner & Taylor . Me and my Dad had driven through the night to get there, puncture on the motorway on the way up and it pissed down all match, stood in the open end corner.
