If they can’t fulfil that then they shouldn’t have bid for it.

I don't think he (Walsh) is anything special but sometimes wonder if we have a Reverse Midas Touch at this club at times with a fair few signings. fgrsimon Posted Sunday at 03:31 Share Posted Sunday at 03:31 Worth watching for, if nothing else, an absolutely astonishing miss by Ebou Adams for Derby v Cardiff. As bad maybe even worse than Ronnie Rosenthal, all those years ago. Also a glorious free flowing, liquid football equaliser for QPR... or maybe not
Superjack Posted Sunday at 03:46 Share Posted Sunday at 03:46 Really pissed off with ITV. I don't get home in time to watch it, so usually watch it on catch up. But tonight I can't, because they don't allow it due to not showing it on ITV4 until the morning. By which time I will be back at work. Add to that the piss poor format and crap presenters (Gabriel Clarke was a welcome reprieve), and I find myself praying that they lose the rights ASAP. Markthehorn Posted Sunday at 06:33 Share Posted Sunday at 06:33 I think they had Darts on ITV 4 and some sort of realty show on the main channel ? Might as well not really bothered and just had it on this morning or straight to X player .

Otherwise I prefer to switch things off when I'm out and save electric. My point is that if one of the things that I am paying for is catch up TV and the programme has already gone out, I should be able to watch it regardless of whether it still has to air on a sister channel. Although I suppose that could be to do with Virgin Media as much as ITV. Because they're ****s as well. The Batman Posted Sunday at 10:18 Share Posted Sunday at 10:18 I watched the league 1 highlights and when it came to showing the league at the end, the backdrop the used was Ashton Gate. Of all the league 1 stadia to use, they use ours. Flattered and offended at the same time.

elhombrecito Posted Sunday at 11:08 Share Posted Sunday at 11:08 Never understood why anybody would willingly watch highlights of us when we've lost. It's depressing enough first time around!

Major Isewater Posted Sunday at 11:14 Share Posted Sunday at 11:14 I sometimes wonder if Lansdown wouldn’t prefer to be in League 1 . We could bring in the best players at that level, flirt regularly with promotion and enjoy our visits to Wembley for the Second Rate Cup , all whilst paying lower wages to players and staff.

Even if we lucked into promotion, I wonder whether we'd be worth £200M to anyone, given that we'd have a 95%+ chance of coming straight back down. It's in the ballpark of Ipswich Town's valuation when that US Private Equity company bought a 40% stake for £105M near the end of last season. But they are professionally run. And I'd reckon Stevie would factor it into his absurd pricing scheme and try for a better ROI. £300M anyone?
Mr Popodopolous Posted Sunday at 12:15 Share Posted Sunday at 12:15 That Ipswich valuation sticks out a mile compared to other clubs. Professionally run or not that is just a real oddity.
Davefevs Posted Sunday at 12:20 Share Posted Sunday at 12:20 The highlight of the highlights for me was seeing Oliver Langford refereeing at a level lower than ours.
