Reprored Posted Sunday at 10:27 Share Posted Sunday at 10:27 I’m getting the impression that the door to the first team through the academy is gradually closing, just wondered what the general opinion was on this. How do the academy players currently feel, has the club policy on this been a priority changed? I didn’t want to use a NP & Manning comparison as Nige at times had to resort to fast tracking the youth but I had the feeling he had a if they were good enough attitude plus a first team experience was invaluable. I used to feel there was some togetherness and pride when you could see home grown talent take the field knowing that have worked hard and deserved to represent the club.
