It was moved as there were a number of complaints about the size of the venue and the lack of accessibility for people with disabilities

Not sure 256 Vs 4 is much of an advantage

No indication yet, but I would be 99% sure that as it was at the pub it would be at the ground

Indeed.

Because the Q&A last year was an absolute embarrassment to be perfectly honest.

Absolutely I hope some decent probing questions get asked.

As you say the last one was so embarrassing with the ultimate cringe moment being the fan who started off a round of applause for the Lansdown’s. 🤢

It could be bumpy if we have a bad set of results leading up to it.

Only the Cardiff game...

Win that and I'd say they'll all be in for a very easy night at the Q&A.

As per previous events people raise their hand and ask their question without any knowledge of what is coming

No, they won't.

No-one will have the minerals to ask anything testing though, would be my prediction.

My thoughts too, the last event was a bit cringe

There are a number of really good posters on here that would really add to the event asking questions,

All joking aside I hope @W-S-M Seagull is there, I admit I give him stick but he's clearly passionate about what he believes, are you going @TV Tom

I would offer to ask questions for people that can't make it but I have a feeling I'd need a full notebook to write everything down

Indeed. Very different asking questions on here to doing it in a public forum in front of the panel.

If I got to go I’d like to think I would ask something challenging but in a positive way.

is that the case? genuine question as have never been or watched one.

Why is that do we think? would be great to see some of the reoccurring themes that come up on here put forward, maybe if a couple of xanax were popped first though

If it’s half as funny as last year’s they should charge people to stream it, absolute cringe fest comedy gold.

The bloke that stood up and just shouted ‘LANSDOWN, WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT VAR’. Just an incredible watch.

Judging by last year however, if you’re not interested in five thousand questions about the location of the singing section then maybe don’t waste your time attending.

Genuinely made me consider giving up supporting City.

It demonstrated perfectly why we are a mediocre club going nowhere fast.

It's a shame as the one prior to that in 2022 with Gould, Tinnion and Pearson was actually quite good if I recall.

Last years was a mess, but I think it was also very self inflicted in many cases.

2022’s was opened with extensive updates and ownership of the room by Gould, Pearson and Tinnion.

Gould in particular gave extremely detailed updates on budget, FFP, market landscape in the championship including wages YoY, season ticket sales split by stand and all sorts. Pearson on playing style and approach, academy, discussion about the women’s team and ways of working, Tinns on academy and loans.

That naturally created so much more engagement and natural topic to flow on from, that otherwise wouldn’t have existed.

I’ve just been sad enough to check on the YT upload, and those updates were so extensive, the first question wasn’t even put to the floor until 17 minutes in.

In 2023, JL (I think) literally ‘chaired’ the evening by saying thanks for coming, and look forward to hearing your questions, cheers. I note that that’s been cut out of the YT vid upload, too.

There was no structure, nothing for anyone to work with, and poor old Jerry was trying to find anyone and everyone to ask a question as it was in danger of being over after about 20 minutes if not.

Interesting that they’ve chosen to do it at the ground again, when it was a conscious effort to do it away from there so that it felt more of a ‘neutral area’ so it doesn’t feel like fans are in the ‘clubs space’ that makes them feel more in control. Though appreciate accessibility issues may have caused that.

Which is why, personally I'd rather see Rawcliffe on the panel than Lansdown. Jon just has so little to add beyond general verbage and platitudes.

Rawcliffe actually runs the operations on a day to day basis, deals with the EFL, and just generally is more interesting to hear from.

We also hear much less from him through the season despite him holding a key part of the new split of CEO roles.

The club really doesn’t have to do this, particularly as anything other than a win and decent performance against Cardiff will be greeted with the same derision (toward Mr Manning) as the Wednesday game did.

In fact it could look very much look like the dreaded vote of confidence if we are crap against Cardiff.

For my own tuppence I’m flying back home from the UK that day (I have looked at changing flights to come to the evening but it just won’t work)

Hopefully it will be an informative night and people will ask the questions that need asking!

I do note that Mr Pearson and Mr Gould are very much gentlemen with presence and a history of big jobs and success and were prepared with information up front that kept them “on the front foot”. Hopefully Mr Lansdown and Mr Tinnion are prepared to offer up a presentation and be prepared.

I agree with the bloke above the CFO might want to be at least present as does our new communications officer.

On a slightly different note I do wonder if Miss Robins as communications director, has had something to do with the obvious soft approach to the team from former colleagues at BBCRB? Just a thought!

Hi all

For those many of us who for whatever reason are unable to make it to the Fans Forum, is it not perhaps

an idea that folk on here pose their questions and perhaps the most 'popular' ones are asked by people

on the night who can attend ?

For me - I would ask Manning what he feels about perception that he lacks in game management i.e.

always making subs at the same time or never seemingly willing to change a formation.

I'm sure many others will also have questions that could perhaps be raised at the event.

We’re just a cross section of society, some are, some definitely aren’t.

I know some very smart people who follow the club, but as the fans forum & interaction on social media sometimes shows, some utter morons do as well.

I can’t make it either.

I wouldn’t dream of coming on here & asking others to ask a question I wasn’t prepared to say myself in person though.

FWIW I did attend the 2022 one & asked Pearson a question.

I don’t even mind playing one forward, but sometimes you need to mix it up. We are so bloody predictable. As has been said Plan B is to do Plan A better, but we never do.

We had to listen to various people talking after the other night about possession and improving football. When in fact we got dominated by a team without the ball in the second half in particular.

Genuine suggestion here; It would be a good idea to put together a thread with Questions and the 5 most up-voted/liked ones asked by a rep from the SCAT. I've secured a ticket, just trying to juggle childcare to see if I can defo make it. If not I'll hand the ticket back/to someone who wants it. But as you say, there's a lot of intelligent posters who could formulate a good, challenging question that it would be beneficial hearing the answer to.

And that's not "why don't we play two up top"; The question should be: "Can you explain in detail your current tactical plan and philosophy and why we do some of the things we do?" I want to hear Manning let loose.

What would it be?

There are obviously lots spanning lansdowns tenure but assuming relevant to recent events.

Think I would question why they think it's a good idea for Armstrong to be our one main striker given his previous poor ratio and lack of experience, coupled with no other obvious prolific scorers on the pitch?

Personally I like the idea of taking a number of top questions, it'd at least be helpful for people not in the area

The only thing it would need the club to allow someone to ask a number of questions rather than one each

Is this something you could ask @JerrySLOto see if this can happen?

I'd more than happily ask the questions on the evening if required

Where is our front foot, free flowing 10 point enhancing style?

Or

Is it realistic to believe that you can achieve premiership status using last seasons league 1 players?

Or

When can we stop accepting mediocrity and actually grip the overly friendly, no consequence environment that has come to personify our club?

Or

Oh....you said one question.

I’ll start as sadly I’ll be abroad and hoping someone who can attend can ask.

"Jon Lansdown, Brian Tinnion, and Liam Manning, Bristol City is a club situated in one of the largest cities in the country, yet it remains one of the most underperforming clubs in European football. Jon, you have no senior management experience in or outside of football prior to being appointed chairman by your father. Brian, you’ve had no significant managerial success at any club to justify a Director of Football role. Liam, you’ve never managed at this level or achieved a promotion in your career.

Given this collective lack of qualifications and the years of failed decisions by ownership, why should fans have any faith that the three of you are capable of steering this club in the right direction? What have any of you shown to suggest you're the right people to break this cycle of underachievement?"

Whilst there are clearly questions at the moment about our player selection, formation and style of play the key questions about our club aren’t on the pitch.

My main question would be to Lansdown and referencing his statement on 29/10/23 and what he thinks now given our position, although there are many about how the club is structured and run.
