drag it wide?

Looked on sky like he hit the ball with his left foot by accident a pushed it away from were he wanted and ended up much wider when taking the shot,

He has really poor close control

The problem is it’s Armstrong strength and pace that creates the chances he fluffs. Not sure for any of those three Wells gets the actual chance.

If only we had a big, fast, strong striker who could finish. Perhaps even a French one.

oh, wait

get a proper goalscorer on ffs why is he picked couldnt lead my dog

Which other striker even gets in the positions? Especially the first 2. I think it’s harsh anyway, first was close, second a good save and third a wide angle (but should have hit the target at least)

We need a focal point up front. Mehmeti, Yu and Twine have nobody to hit or play off.

This. Armstrong is NOT a central striker. Fally has already proved he can get goals out of nothing. Give him a run, he fits the 9 description we were looking at.

Or stop playing the long ball aimlessly. First 10 we were playing into channels for Armstrong to run onto, that’s far more effective.

It’s a very one dimensional tactic though, and not always on against a team that is sitting in.

I can see this as another match where we’ve wasted the first half possession and done nothing, then get pegged back in the second half after another rousing half-time talk, where we hang on for the point.

Think we've been fine but definitely a concern that this is us playing well against bottom of the league and we still can't do anything

In the context of the opponent this is awful, worse than Wednesday night.

Started well til the injury, then lost control for about 10 minutes. Would say we’ve got that control back but we aren’t really doing anything with it. Decent pressure without any real danger on their keeper.

Lets not forget they’ve missed an absolute sitter, it should be 1-0 Cardiff.

Just missed that finesse up front, games is crying out for Wells

Games crying out for 22 people that can play football to be fair.

We are very lucky we are playing a very poor Cardiff today or could be in some real trouble, we have looked really shaky at the back this half, we are giving the ball away to often in the middle as well
