Very sad.

He was absolutely brilliant for us, added class & goals to a hard working midfield.

Remember him getting both in a two nil league win over Spurs, that sentence probably appears inconceivable to anyone under 50.

RIP.

Echo that, classy player.

RIP Peter.

Sure that was arsenal GC..... Rip peter...

Didn’t he also score in the game at ours that effectively relegated them?

Either way, we’re talking about a bloke who scored goals for us against Spurs & Arsenal.

Some of the threads on here talk about third & fourth division games..

You were right mate, but he did get the winner from the penalty spot against Spurs in our first season up.

A result that as good as relegated them.

Definitely from a time we haven’t seen since & many on here never saw at all.

One of those signings along with Hunter and Royle I remember being really excited about. They kind of confirmed we really were in the big time and it wasn’t just a dream.

I guess those of us that remember those days number fewer than those fans born too late. Albeit I was under 16 for those 4 years.

RIP Peter

I remember that game like it was yesterday. RIP Peter

“That’s his 3rd goal in 9 games since joining from Liverpool”….probably don’t hear that very often either!

 the chances of ever signing anyone from Liverpool anymore is pretty pretty slim too   i would wager.

Those were the daze.

RIP Peter, City leg!

Frankly bizarre article, no idea why they thought the circus bit was remotely relevant.
