I think the game was postponed by 24 hours due to rain.

Having said that, the likely lads series has the episode where they wanted to avoid the score until they can see the highlights.

The episode is featured on that's TV at 11:25 on Saturday morning

I shall also be watching the episode kicking off at 08:00am where they meet each on a train for the first time in a long time

I remember seeing Bulgaria play at the old Wembley in a 1-1 draw. Bulgaria had a striker called Asperoukov (sp?) who scored their goal. Can’t recall what year it was tho.

One thing that stands out for me was the chant for Mike Summerbee to to come on. It seemed to move from one end of Wembley to the other. It was an awesome experience.

That’s the game I was at.  Obviously not 1973……….

The postponed game - the first ever postponement of a Wembley international - was England v Bulgaria in November 1979. It was postponed by 24 hours because of fog.
