Guest Hodges17
Before you start having a go at me, look at the link, and it shows that, for results since the war, Rovers are 8th in England and City are 12th. Better than you at something, at last! Link

Dave L
That table is a bit misleading, as it is based purely on points won, and doesn't take into acccount how long teams have been in the league. There was a far more accurate table published a couple of years ago which gave points as a percentage of games played, which gives a more accurate record of team's achievements . From that, they were able to calculate the team's average league position over the years. City were placed around 18th in what is now the 1st division. Rovers were about half way down the second. A more accurate record of the two club's respective records I think.
Guest ziderhead2003
Rovers have played 20 more games than us aswell!
cheshire_red
Rovers have played 20 more games than us aswell! That would be due to their being usually in one of the bottom leagues with more clubs. Additionally it does not include last season, could make a difference!!!!!!!!!! RedTop
Well it's easier to pick up more points when you're playing against inferior competition in a lower league - even though you might not think so from the way the Gas have performed over the past couple of seasons in the basement. PhatWill
All time record City V Rovers head to head.... PLD 234 W 112 D 57 L 65 F 395 A 281 Beat you almost twice as many times as you've beaten us, unlucky!
city nut
Pos Team Sns Pld W D L F A Pts Pct 10 Bristol Rovers 56 2496 957 654 885 3648 3471 2936 49.2% 12 Bristol City 56 2476 945 656 875 3552 3322 2921 49.3% As you can see there is only a 7 point gap. So give us 10 more games and we will be ahead of you! But in the end of the day it what is happening currently which matters. Rovers are third division and we are second divison so make your own conclusion.
myoudale
well you think bout it this way the last game we played against the gas what was the score 3-0 if I'm not mistaken we are 9th in division 2 rover are 13th (i think in) division 3 i wouldnt really say you are better than us
x3widRacin
Those charts do not even include the 2002-03 season yet anyway, if you click on the team link they stop after 01-02. Surely simple math will tell you if you add City points and Rovers points from 02-03 onto the list City will be top there too, so your arguement is all of nothing.
