gater2
There's always one team who just can't get that final goal to get the win, and this season unfortunately it's us. If we'd just scored an extra goal in half of the games we've drawn, we'd be on the same points as QPR right now But football's all about "what ifs?". You could look at it positively and say that if we'd conceeded one more goal in each of those matches we'd be down in 17th! Another point is that this season, we don't seem to be winning games convincingly. Out of 21 league games, we've only won 3 by more than one goal. I know a 1-0 win would do us fine, but I think, in the long term we need to be winning games by bigger margins: look at QPR, they seem to be winning 3-0, 4-1 etc, every week, and we need to aim for that. But football's all about "what ifs?". You could look at it positively and say that if we'd conceeded one more goal in each of those matches we'd be down in 17th! Except that, by the same argument, we have seldom allowed the opposition such a surfeit of chances to waste as we have ourselves.
