Your League Grounds?

Following on from a conversation I had with Godzilla on the way to Rushden - and as a break from the depression that is this board tonight - I ask the question, how many current league grounds have you visited? And it doesn't count if a club has moved grounds and you haven't been to the new one, or if the club were in the league when you went there (ie Exeter).....

Incidentally I've been to 32.

That must have been fun how funny :D

Rushden was my 76th and I'm off to St James in Jan and still have Hartlepool to do. I'm aiming for 80+ by the end of the year

Mid 60's I think (not my age!!).

Not surprisingly, the vast majority are in the middle two divsions.

Unless a miracle happens, looks like I'm going to lose Carlisle off the list this season :(

NATCHER - You couldn't have been far short of the 92 club.

I remember well how you saw this great club fall from grace from Div 1 to 4.

I the 'hair cut' - was it the new 'romantic' look. Time when the favourite band was Modern Romance? :o

Fantastic memories.

But, while I would hate to see AG disappear, many of the grounds that have disappeared have been replaced by more modern 'user friendly' locations that fit into todays modern game.

I for one would be sad, but I see little option why AG won't hit the 'old ground' list. :(

Of the current English League grounds I've been to 28. Mind you that includes the Valley (circa 1982) when it had the massive terrace. I noticed that there were about 12 clubs who have now moved to a new ground.

Other league grounds I been to:

2 Scottish League

4 Spanish League (inc Santiago Bernabau & Romereda)

1 German League

1 Malaysian League

2 Omani League

2 Emerati League

Deepdale (Preston)

Neither Shrewsbury, Portsmouth or Preston have moved. I still count Bournemouth as the same ground, it`s only been redeveloped and the reason it`s called the fitness first stadium is sponsorship.

Old Oxford- Manor Ground

Old Walsall- Fellows Park

Thanks for putting me right on Portsmouth and Preston, I included Shrewsbury as they are no longer in the league.

It's difficult to keep in touch with what's going on over there as I'm exiled now. Every week you sem to hear about a different club building a new ground.

67 League grounds - all with City

From the dark 4th division days, remember going to York's ground and winning 1-0 and going to Northampton for Citys first sunday game just losing by the odd seven goals.

To the great night at Anfield and of course to the mainly homes the gas have occupied.

Did'nt make it Rushden on Saturday.

Due to clubs relocating grounds it will take alot longer to become a member of the 93 club and each season to stay a member you need to visit the clubs coming up from the conference, if there are new to the league, i.e. Yeovil this season.
