Goodfellow! :(

They have transfer listed Chris Iwelumo (top scorer last two seasons)

He wants 1st team footy & with the ealth of strikers at Brittania he is now down the pecking list. Even behind Goodfellow according to John Rudge.

Does this mean that Goodfellow stays & Iwelumo goes?

Don't know but Stoke have also signed an Arsenal midfielder on a 6 month loan today.

So much for City not being able to sign Goodfellow or anyone else til the New Year because everyone at the F.A. was apparently away for Christmas.!

Hasn't Danny Wilson been quoted as saying we're still waiting for a response from Stoke, to an improved offer, so the FA wouldn't be involved until the deal is done.

Ah but is Danny waiting by his Chesterfield or Bristol based phone? Just our luck if they ring the other one with their answer and presume we're not interested! wink.gif

That's true about Stoke Schutzhund, but i did hear the quote about the F.A. being away as well.

Therefore no new signings (Goodfellow or A.N.Other) would be likely until the New Year.

In Christmasses past City would "swoop" to sign Cheesley and Hunt on the Thursday and they'd be in the team against Orient on the Saturday.

These days getting a new player in seems much more long-winded. :(

With no game for well over a week, I would imagine that some of our leaders/players are taking a well earned break in the sun.

But then again, that's never stopped us signing players before.

So, I blame the FA :(
