nester
What is the highest City have beaten Rovers in any competition (including Glos Cup, etc)? Didn't we beat them 6-1 in the 70s at the Gate?

arpaul
It was so one sided, if I remember correctly, Chris Garland rounded the goalkeeper, stopped the ball on the line, knelt down and headed it in.
22A
Biggest away win was Glos Cup, early 70s @ Eastville (where else). 0-0 at half time, 5-0 to City at full time! City numbers 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 all scoring. What was that line up Skirton, Garland, Galley, Kellard and who please? Sorry I can only remember Skirton grabbing the fifth. nester
I remember that 6-0 where Chris Garland rounded their keeper and pushed the ball over the line with his head. I was telling my Romanian wife about it and then I thought "am I making this up". Obviously not.
