Lennartson (spelling??) would be ideal for the type of post that SL is suggesting. He has a superb eye for young talent and vast experience. Remember he was never bought in to be manager (Ward threw his toys from the pram. He would be ideal as long as "Tinnion could work with him", Tins knowledge of lower division football and Lennartson's broader knowledge and experience might work, don't think it will ever happen though.

John ward played us like joe jordan his man management got the 'softer' players who didnt like jordan shouting, to give their all week in week out. Wilson came in with a bunch of long ball players, who were unfit and who hadnt been properly managed for 6 months. There are huge differences between the 2 and comparisons are unfair on the resepective managers.

Guest Old Dazzler

It was 100% Jordan's team except for Micky Bell, Adam Locke,Scott Murray, Sean Dyche (OK), Colin Cramb, Steve Torpey, all signed by Wardy, who also introduced Tommy Doc to the 1st team. The re-instated Keith Welch was a Lumsden signing, as was Rob Edwards. Tinman was an Osman signing. But Jordan did buy Goodridge, Goater and Taylor, as well as bringing Louis Carey into the 1st team. So it was Jordan's team that won promotion.

Neither exactly set Citys seasons moving have they. Benny started this rot,

Actually the rot started when the board allowed Shaun Goater - a proven goalscorer - to leave on deadline day of the promotion season. Check out the form at the end of that season and you'll see the promotion side were no great shakes without him.

How much more expensive did trying to rectify that error prove than simply paying the man the worth of his trade?

That'll be Ward, then..........Benny arriving though, was the catalyst for all this ongoing farce since then though. Credit due to Tinman to try and stop the comfort zone, but he aint, and this season rolls to the inevitable end, with all the infighting unabated-Wonderfull!!

No ... the original catalyst for it (the breakdown in trust between board and manager) was the board's failure to retain Shaun Goater's services; Benny's arrival was a sympton of an ongoing problem not its cause.
