bs3 Posted January 10, 2004 Share Posted January 10, 2004 Its amazing how many injury time winners we had since DW became manager. Before he came it just never seemed to happen. I think is due to the fact that his team try to play the same way and keeping passing the ball for 90 mins and they never seem to panic if they go a goal down. tompo Posted January 10, 2004 Share Posted January 10, 2004 That's at least 3 this season (Grimsby, Barnsley and today) and all very different to a few seasons ago when we regularly conceded late goals. I think its a combination of several things. The overall fitness of the players, the spirit within the team and (the Wilson knockers will hate this) good use of substitutes. By the latter I mean having players like Lita and Roberts on the bench and bringing fresh legs and pace on against tiring defenders. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
