Percy Parrot
spare play to the club for this 'meet the ex-players' thiny on Saturday. It sounds really good. I don't think I will have time to make it but fair play to them for putting it on. Anyone going to it? Any of you who don't normally go to the Red and White going for this? http://www.bcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsD...~474905,00.html
Nogbad the Bad
What's all this "spare play" to the club, Percy? I've just come in from a night down the pub and even i know it should be "fair play" Was that an unfortunate lapse or have you always laboured under the illusion that the phrase is "SPARE play?" Get a grip man.
Admin Ian M Posted January 17, 2004 Admin Share Posted January 17, 2004 Was that an unfortunate lapse or have you always laboured under the illusion that the phrase is "SPARE play?" Along with those poor souls who believe that netting in your own goal is known as a "home goal". Of course that's how the term "oggy" came about! As for you Nogbad...I'm afraid saying 'spare play' is just one of those annoying phrases I've picked up from my friendship group. Not too sure why we all started saying spare play really. Just did.
