Ashtonyate - Isn't the Academy GREAT, what a fantastic use of the club's money and it's producing some prodigeous talent too. I must get down to the 'Gate godspeed to renew my season ticket and munch on a tasty balti pie. Mmm delicious!

'Your use of grammar is exceptional.'

Sorry, got to do it:

Grammar \Gram"mar\, n. [OE. gramere, OF. gramaire, F. grammaire

Prob. fr. L. gramatica Gr ?, fem. of ? skilled in grammar,

fr. ? letter. See Gramme, Graphic, and cf. Grammatical,

  Gramarye.]

  1. The science which treats of the principles of language;

the study of forms of speech, and their relations to one

another; the art concerned with the right use aud

application of the rules of a language, in speaking or

      writing.

Spell \Spell\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. Spelledor Spelt; p. pr. &

vb. n. Spelling.] [OE. spellen, spellien, tell, relate, AS.

spellian, fr. spell a saying, tale; akin to MHG. spellen to

relate, Goth. spill?n.e Spell a tale. In sense 4 and those

following, OE. spellen, perhaps originally a different word,

and from or influenced by spell a splinter, from the use of a

piece of wood to point to the letters in schools: cf. D.

spellen to spell. Cf. Spell splinter.]

  4. To tell or name in their proper order letters of, as a

word; to write or print in order the letters of, esp. the

proper letters; to form, as words, by correct orthography.

Personally I thought that his grammar was exceptional. The spelling, however, wasn't.

Yours,

The Man In Black

Having your signature in German isn't remotely pretentious.

The German in your signature is well formed and makes perfect sense.

It's from the song, "Sonne" by the fantastic German group Rammstein. Regular viewers of Kerrang, or perhaps MTV2 will recognise this classic, with it's amazing video horror take-off of Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs and behemoth bassline underpinning a desolate landscape of Industrial Metal melancholy.

Plus, Rammstein only release records in German, hence the lyric in my sig.

I am happily going to buy out of date drinks and not complain about that, or the standard of food in the outlets at AG!

Oh and I will quite happily buy any sort of crappy t-shirt that the club see fit to produce!

You've misunderstood the game richie.

This is about posting things that are never said on here. You've just repeated the same post you've been making for the last year.

Ten things you'll never see written on the forum:

1. "Dear Colin, I am writing to congratulate you on the standard of catering at Ashton Gate...."

2. "I just love our new away kit. Smashing colours."

3. "I wish some of our younger players would loosen up, relax a bit and go out for the odd beer."

4. "Well done to the lad's agent for negotiating him a decent deal at a higher club. He deserves his cut."

5. "Swindon are going to cause a few teams trouble this year."

6. "Why can't we have a decent manager like Atkins?"

7. "We're so lucky that the city council is sympathetic to sports. Where would the club be without them."

8. "Dear Steve, I am writing to thank the steward who..."

9. "Why can't we have a new badge to enhance our branding identity?"

10. "Bring back the cat. And turn up the music when we score, while you're at it."

Beats me as well. First one voice, then the other. Then the 'go on the bridge over the M5 with a rifle' voice. Then god telling me to cleanse the streets.

A chap can get a bit confused. blink.gif

Dear Steve, can we merge with the Gas in order to leverage both of our core competencies please?

Why can't we have Sam Hammam here?

I love having stewards watch us to make sure that we're safe during a match. And fair play to the police for filming us in the pub just to ensure no health and safety issues could take place whilst we're enjoying a pre-match pint. And I can't wait for that hooligan film that Colin authorised ITV to film be broadcast so my boss can see me on the tele.

Now you're in the realms of fantasy. Talking of which, where is Walter Mitty-Malone?

"I really like these great new kits - and they're real value for money"
