Sunday the 25th January 2004, will mark the 10th anniversary since our great FA Cup win over Liverpool.

But since that day, can you recall any other great cup win.

Two good games against Everton ended in defeat.

A league cup victory over Leeds spring to mind, with Hasslebank being sent off for a head butt.

But what else have we done in the two major cup competitions. :D

We can`t remember many great cup wins since then, but one

that we will never forget was 20 yers before the liverpool game! City`s

win against the mighty Leeds! An they were mighty in they day`s!

Feb 16th 1974 FA Cup 5th round replay at Elland Road! in front of a crowd

of 47,000! They ad not lost ole season til they faced the Mighty Reds!

Great goal by ole Donnie Gillies to beat um 1-0! :D

First time we ad seen a city player (Gillies) on the front

page of the daily Mirror! Great Days and two great games! :P

Oh yes I remember the Leeds match in '74: City had just drawn 1-1 at home with them and they did the cup draw for round 6 right after the final whistles nd the draw was.... Bristol City or Leeds Vs Liverpool. Bill Shankly said "Leeds V Liverpool will be the game of the round".

Leeds were running away with the championship, unbeaten (I seem to recall the Gas doing similar things in the old div 3 at the same time) and City went up there and did them 1-0. Bill Shakley apologised to City after the result which was big of him to do so.

City lost 0-1 Vs Liverpool in round 6 by the way, Toshack scoring.

The cup run that year was Hull (H) 1-1, (A) 1-0; Hereford (A) 1-0; Leeds (H) 1-1, (A) 1-0; Liverpool (H) 0-1. Liverpool went on to beat Newcastle 3-0 in the final.

Wow those 10 years have flown by. What a night that was at Anfield and no one could say it was a fluke either, as we had drawn with them twice at Ashton Gate to force the replay. I had a couple of quid on Tinnion to score the first goal as well, which made it even more perfect.

Wish we had more times like that, although the very fact that we don't is what made it so special.

And it must be fast approaching the 30th anniversary of unbeaten top of div 1 Leeds 0, div 2 City 1 :D Please forgive me, but I can't remember the exact date other than February 1974.

edit; sorry, I hadn't read all of the previous posts.
