newboy
Dunno why I've never thought of this before, but there's been a number of threads recently going on about congestion, lack of parking etc. Why don't we do car sharing? There must be loads of supporters on this forum who have to drive in - isn't there a chance that we could give lifts etc? So.. leading by example - anyone want a lift to match on Saturday from Clifton? And if the roads free up, maybe Big Red Rich's speed camera detector could come in useful! newboy
Walk? A 45 minute walk that I can do in 10 minutes drive and 35 more minutes of Ashton Gate atmosphere? Maybe you have a point. Pfft. Anyways, that's my bit for the environment done for this year.
Nogbad the Bad
Newboy, meet a few pals in the Coronation Tap at about 1 o'clock. ( assuming its still there.) Get a couple in and leg it down the hill to Hotwells Road for a quickie in the Plume. Over the swing-bridge to the Nova before attempting the assault course of railings, railway lines, another bridge, busy road and the park before ending up in Wedlocks for a sing-song before the match. Don't walk down, CRAWL down, it always worked for me. Ah, those were the days.
Guest wishbone
Park n Ride from somewhere central? Also. lots of on-street parking around, surely. 10 mins walk not too much to ask is it?
