There but for the grace of God go we........

Although not to that extent, it's not difficult to see how this can happen.

Football club owners and major shareholders often believe they are taking a calculated risk, when in fact it is more of a gamble. That, the effect of fan pressure, increasing player power and the collapse of ITV digital have all conspired to compound the problem. You can put Derby, Bradford, Barnsley, Forest, Leeds and a host of others in the same pot.

In this context you have to admire the management of clubs like Charlton, West Brom and Ipswich who have taken the relegation hit from the premiership and have/or seek to bounce back without breaking the bank.

...is the amount that Sheff Wed revealed they are in debt today.

How the hell was it ever allowed to get that bad?

As I remember, a bloke called Wilson had something to do with it!

Someone once told me he was quite a decent manager.... :D

i think from city's latest financial year it was 2.9 million in the red
That is about right. I know the total debt was around the 3m mark with losses of just under 2m. The year before that we lost nearly 3m and before that we had losses. The only reason we aren't in a situation like that is good management from the board and they give the club money. Well done board! :D:):D:D:(
