openEnd Posted February 13, 2004 Share Posted February 13, 2004 According to the Football Fans Census Results for 'Rivalry Uncovered' Results show (unsurprisingly despite the Cardiff thing) the Gas as our main rival with them seeing us as their main rival. We are also 10th in the league of Clubs with the most rivals. Not read it all yet, but it looks to be interesting stuff. City Rocker Posted February 13, 2004 Share Posted February 13, 2004 Yes I saw this a while ago. Looking at the top 10 we actually should be above Sheff U as we have one more 'rival'. Also a surprise that Swansea see us as '2nd main rival'. Geographically it make sense for them I guess, but I doubt if any City fans would have thought of Swansea when naming rivals. Same with Plymouth and Swindon as well, notwithstanding current league battles. It seems they all care more about us than we do about them. I hadn't thought of it like that, but I think I'd rather have that than Yeovil who it seems have NO rival...aw bless are they really that irrelevant? What made me chuckle was the Gooners nickname for Spurs - Tottenham Hospice due to the level of injuries. I can't believe more Gas supporters that took part used 'The EightyTwoers' as our nickname and not their other affectionate one? Sh**head. Perhaps some censorship by the organisers?
