22A Posted February 15, 2004 Share Posted February 15, 2004 The trek continues. He spent Friday night at Northampton, so he (only) had to cycle 40 miles on the Saturday. We had contacted him some time ago offering a bed for the night which he accepted, but Peterborough Independant Supporters Association took him to their hearts. They meet in a bar down a side street near the Cherry Tree pub so many of you used and they took Jer in before the game, provided locked accommo for his bike during it and had a collection afeterwards. Jer feared he'd have a large collection of coins to take up to Grimsby, but there was some folding stuff in the collection. They were also prepared to pay for a hotel room for the night for him! Jer stayed with us though and after a peaceful night and lie in, he's had a good Sunday lunch and left here at 1.30. He intends stopping in Boston tonight and will spend Monday in Skegness, Why Skeggy? Jer likes roller coasters (no wonder he's a City fan ) and is hoping to find a funfair open. His big effort after Tuesday night is to get back to Bristol in time for Tinnion's testimonial evening on Thursday as he wants to be at that.
