Gillingham chairman Paul Scally feels it will take time to build a side capable of challenging for promotion. The Gills have struggled in League One since their relegation from the Championship last season. Scally told BBC Radio Kent: "We have to to build a side of young hungry fighters. We know we need to bring new players to take us on our next journey. "We're in a transition period and in the next year or two we need new players in order to move us forward."
