compostcorner
the top of the league song is a classic football chant, short catchy and straight to the point, well done the man united fan who came up with it. the east end adapted it well on saturday, but i feel the words should be "and having a laugh" and not "were having a laugh". i feeel that saying "were having a laugh" means we cant believe were at the top and were laughing about it. but saying "and having a laugh" sounds like were proud to be top and laughing at the rest of the division....i think i better lie down, i"m confusing meself now, but i hope i make sense. Guest lilciderhed
Were top of the league sounds better. And if were getting like my english class finding hidden meanings to poems and stuff then were having a laugh means like were laughing at the rest of the league becuase were out of their league! (next season anyway!)
One Team
Man Utd first sang it when they played, and easily defeated (sorry Celtic fans!) Celtic last year. Except that was "Premier League, you're having a laugh!". Of course when we bang in the winner against QPR, we can always change it to: "Division One, you're having a laugh!"
