Percy Parrot
15 coaches and counting. 1000+ on the coaches alone. It's ashame really that I am going for the weekend and not from Bristol on CATS. Brings back memories of some massive games and the feeling you get as a convoy of coaches worms its way out of Ashton Gate, up the Portway, under the bridge and begins its invasion of some other poor unsuspecting town. Bring on the Wednesday...on, errr...Saturday. Percy

22A
[Watch out for Old Bill rounding up the coaches on the motorway. They are determined we ain't going to get a drink. ] Tell them you are not football fans, but are members of the Campaign for Real Ale and are off to Sheffield to sample the products of Ward's brewery! Guest Uncle Ern
A similar trick worked at York when I convinced them that I was visiting the Railway Museum and managed several foaming ales whilst everyone else was locked in the ground . Mind you that anorak was a dead giveaway !!

Were stopping 30 miles outside Sheffield, small village known by the coach driver, plus a few bevvies on board unknown by the driver which will be expertly disguised in coke bottles!!!! Stoke_Gifford_Red
Should be great, do the coaches normally stick together in a convoy (sorry I normally go by train/car/plane and have never been by CATS before).
Guest Ricky BCFC
Yeah the coaches are always together.
Stoke_Gifford_Red
Next question. If the police stop the coaches for searches etc will they stop them all at the same time? (If they do I hope they have significant numbers, I don't want to have to wait for 2 officers to search 1000 people).
Guest Ricky BCFC
I don't think they are very likely to search us. In the number of times I've been on cats where we have had to stop on the motorway and wait for the police we have never been searched (and that includes Cardiff last season!). The reason for the long wait is usually simply because we have to wait ages for the police bikes to find us so they can escort us to the ground. Guest malaggro
Elvis Dolman, that anorak you wore to York, did it have a label on the left arm and was it stored in the boot of your old Model T?
