I am travelling by CATS on saturday for the big match. I have only used this service once before (vs leicester fa cup) as i normally go by train or car. The last time i used it we were held on the hard shoulder of the motorway just outside leicester for about 1 hour. Once we started our journey again we were then shephered into the ground. Does anyone know whether this will happen again this saturday? I am sure there are people on here who like me and my mates would like to go for a pre match drink and something to eat.

I think that was just a one off. However there are a lot of coaches and this could cause problems as i suppose they have to find somehwere where they can keep all our coaches together safely. Hopefully we should arrive a few hours before ko time for a few pints and some grub. :D

I immagine you'll be fine and should be free to roam down to the pubs and shops.

Just a tip: make sure you give plenty of to get into the ground! :D

Thanks for the above replies. Hopefully we will get time to soak up the pre match atmosphere and soak up a few pints. We will not be going any where near the centre as i think it is 3 miles away and plus i have heard on various forums there will be a very big representation from the notorious CSF in and around that vicinity.

Don't be fooled, the Old Bill have a definite agenda which will involve searching coaches for the demon drink and making sure that we are unable to be in a position to be got at or to do the "getting ." (Excluding us well behaved model citizens)

I am led to believe that a police section 60 order is out on this match. basically it means they can stop and search anyone anytime for any reason so I would think there is a good chance coaches may get stopped etc.

I remember going to Huddersfield on cats last season and they stopped us on the motorway somwhere between 1:30 - 2pm. We must've been there about an hour as we didn't end up getting into the ground literally 2 mins before the teams came out.

In my experience it varies gratly depending on a number of reasons, As has already been said at huddersfield last season we stopped in a layby just outside huddersfield for an hour waiting for a police escort snd only got to the ground 5 mins before kick off.

At wrexham earlier this season we got there at 12.30!!!!!!!! although we were able to watch the whole of eng V S Africa in the rwc
