Train Station - Hillsborough

Any ideas what the Old Bill will be doing with City fans arriving by train on Saturday?

I hope they won't be employing some cr@p sysyem involving a huge police escort. My feet were still aching a full two weeks after the ridiculous trek from the Madjeski a few years ago.

I'll be arriving from Derby just before 1pm, hopefully by then (with no colours) I should be safe to stroll out and meet the lads in the nearest boozer.

Then buses/tram to Hillsborough??

And how the hell do we get back??

Any help appreciated as I didn't go to the cup game a few years ago.

I'm gettin off at Chapeltown - they'd better not be doing a Chesterfield style video show there or I'll be puttin on my best tyke accent to say I'm off shopping!

I went to the cup game, it was great, no trouble to talk of. Right outside the station are a couple of pubs which filled up with City fans. We walked to the game which did not seem that far to me, although had a few beers on board. The thing that always strikes me as funny is that the tram system, that is said to be so good, that Bristol were thinking of building a similar one, worked out to be no quicker. After the game, we were a bit late for our train, so decided to take the tram thinking it would go straight through. The trams WERE running down the road like any other vehicle, so just got stuck in the traffic. Well we sat there so long, we missed our train, and wished we'd have walked !!!

Still it was a great day even though we lossed. I am well jealous of you all on Saturday. I have to make do with phone calls to find the score as I have to be in my restaurant, 5 hours behind you all !!!
