I keep hearing this from different people. I hope the police are prepared for this.

We do not need aggravation spoiling what should be a great day out .

I've posted this before but apparently there is a police Section 60 order out for Saturday. This is normally issued at England matches and very high profile ones. Generally it means they can stop and search you just for walking along the Street.

It happened to me and my mate at and England game but the funny thing was my mate was searched by A bloke and woman copper and in his back pocket he had a porno he had just bought!!

So I think there will be a large Police presence around which should hope to stop and trouble.

I hope so too, i know a number of Dad's who are taking their youngsters up for this game.

Apart from the sheer stupidity of hooliganism, how anyone from either side could be planning trouble at a Stadium with such a tragic recent history is beyond me.

The fact that the rumours are in the open could be a good thing. The police will be well aware of them and will surely be out in force to prevent disorder.

Hopefully its mostly alot of hot air, fuelled as is often the case these days, by faceless threats and counter threats on the internet.

Probably by people so young they don't even remember the Hillsborough tragedy.

Unfortuantly it's not just hot air going around and there is a seriously tasty mob going. This is probably a good thing because large groups are easier for the Police to monitor and control.

You wouldn't belive how much info the police know about these things and the amound of people feeding them information

I hardly think that Sheffield vs City is hardly biggest threat they have had at their ground some how, I think that so many police will be present it will be hard for the 'well behaved' supporter to get caught up in trouble near the ground.

But, it a particular group of 'so called fans' wanna fight then they will do regardless of what the police know.

Good point Granty.

They've had Leeds and Sheffield Utd. there numerous times when the build up and hate factor is far greater.

You're right on the second point too - if two relatively small groups are determined to meet they will. Hopefully the police presence will ensure it cannot occur anywhere near the ground.

Did anyone see football league extra and the mansfield v Doncaster game. You have never seen so mant police in your life. Why, over than near neighbours? The Miners strike where the Notts area (mansfield) scabbed and those in other mining communities will never forget. Sheff either v Forest is supposed to be tasty but is Mansfield who suffer this problem the most.

SW v BCFC Stroll in the Park for the powers that be.
