Guest Eddie Hitler
Hands up. I wanted Danny to go back in November. Not purely on the basis of results or position but because I was unhappy with what he was doing with the team. No longer. He's (generally) playing the form players and he's sorted out his problem with making the wrong substitutions at the wrong time. Now, assuming we keep Danny, the Academy and the Board, I feel more optimistic than I have for years. Like Crewe we will reap the benefits of contiuity and keep steadily progressing, and as we are a much bigger club (fanbase, resources) we can go further. The difference between us and, say, Southampton is that they've had twenty years of a good board, youth programme, and management. We've had five. Premiership in two years? No. Premiership in five years? Wait and see, it's possible. I'd been to a few Fulham games under Mickey Adams and then Keegan came in talking about the premiership in five years. It happened. They did it with money, we can do it with our Academy. ANd no, I've not been drinking.
