But can Danny see it. 4 goals in 4 games - shed loads of chances missed - and today QPR stick 4 in at Hartlepool.Plymouth capable of consisitently scoring as they have all season. It is not rocket science our huge problem in front of goal has been there all season and still it hasn't been addressed by Mr Wilson. And it will be that problen that will prevent automatic promotion unless something is done.Danny should be moving heaven and earth to get someone in but I would guess true to from he will tell us it's tough out there to sign the right player and he has huge faith in the current side to do it.For the sake of someone for 1 month onloan to act as a catalyst for the other strikers and to spread a bit of confidence it surely would be what any Manager worth his salt would be doing.WHY won't Wilson.

Unfortunately, we are talking about the same Danny Wilson who;

Won't drop a striker, who hasn't scored for NINE games.

Won't EVER substitute the said striker, despite being inferior to his regular strike partner.

Rested the talented strike partner, because apparently he's in his early twenties and might not be able to cope with the pressure of not scoring for FOUR games.

Substituted the one player who looked capable of scoring a second goal last night. (After scoring the first - of course)

Thinks Luke Wilkshire is a right-winger and drops him too, because apparently he's in his early twenties and might not be able to cope with the pressure.

In other words expect Junior Agogo to sign on loan any day now, but only if it's necessary.

it is also the ''let's play the wigan way'' going 1-0 up and defending

it without caring about going for another goal and killing teams off

and we've been caught like that at times and ended up 1-1 ;)

Precisely how would bringing in someone else improve the confidence of our 4 existing strikers????

If we use Roberts, Miller, Lita and Peacock well over the next few games we have more than enough strike force to win and get 1st or 2nd in this Div. Bringing someone else in (even assuming there is the right player out there who wants to come here) will only serve to dash what remaining confidence our current strikers might have and then who would you play alongside our new signing?

Let's look within our current squad for the answer ;)

We have GOOD players that are more than capable of doing the business over the rest of the season.

Promotion is there for the taking.

Leeeeeeepy is a good striker who is cunningly saving his goal glut for the run in.

Come the summer holiday all we will remember is that amazing end of season run to the championship and debate our new signings for the 2004-05 FIRST division campaign.

We're going to division one, we're going to the top,

we're better than united and we're louder than the kop,

our name is BRISTOL CITY and we play at ASHTON GATE,

so come on all you CITY FANS lets sing and celebrate

Are you seriously suggesting that if he can't, and he obviously can't or won't, that he should publicly state that the existing team / strikers aren't up to it? That would be utter stupidity.

Every club in the 4 divisions (other than the top 6/7 in the Prem) would dearly love to bring a goal poacher in on loan to help their promotion bid / stave off relegation. Do you seriously suggest it is that easy?

I think it has been our problem since Thorpe left to be honest - as much as i hate him!

We lost our top scorer in the close season, and havent got a poacher that is getting 25 / 30 a season - and in this division - if the striker playing feels he is good enough for the first, 20+ goals a season should be no probs..

Is it the service? i feel so..

The Forums first choice right winger is a striker, the most critisised man on here is our left winger and our 2 new signings normally sit on the bench.

Thats where our problems lie..

Roll on April 3rd! only 20 days to go!!

Still looking good despite a couple of hiccups lately, and the QPR result was a complete fluke so pay no attention to that  :P

We just need to match them result for result and beat them at home.
