everreddy
Best outcome? Jarrett81
Personally reckon anything but forest winning would be a great result providing we keep winning. A draw would pull Scunny back in and not be a great result for forest having lost last night. Least its in our hands at the moment and for once we're not playing catch up. Get a result tonight then 2 home games coming up, could look pretty good in a weeks time!
bartolona
Think i would go for a draw, if we can win our next 3, 7 points ahead of Forest and 3 points behind Scunny.
Guest TryAgain
Its got to be a draw. This will give us a second automatic place to play for, (1st) and it would also add another 2 point gap between us and Forest. What could be better.
SE23Red
Draw. However the table could look very different in a weeks time if Forest win and we pick up maximum points:1 S****horpe 37 73 2 Bristol City 37 71 3 Nottm Forest 37 66 Who said Scunny are not catchable? Komazawa
Before last night I'd have said Scunny win. But now I think a draw will suit us nicely. Just so long as Forest don't win. Most importantly though, minimum 4 points from tonight and saturday
cidercity1987
At the moment I still want a S****horpe win, but if we win tonight I might change my mind to wanting a draw!A Forest win would definitely be the worst result imo.
AtyeoRed
A win tonight at Chesterfield, with Brentford and Bradford at home to follow, a Scunny win on Saturday, we could be 8 points clear of Forrest this time next week. SO COME ON YOU REDS LET'S DO IT!!!!!Agreed. It would be a sizeable gap.But thinking of tonights game:If we win I would like to see S****horpe lose or the match end in a draw to give us a chance of closing the gap.If we lose then I would want S****horpe to win to keep Forest behind and losing. My gut reaction is we'll win and the Forest S****horpe match will be a draw. mcbcfc
Scunny win, allowing us to pull as far away from forest as possible. Winning the league would be great but I don't care how we go up as long as next season were at Upton park rather than Saltergate on a cold Wednesday night

Guest Gary the Dogs Johnsons
With us still to play Forest at home, a Forest win for me would be good. Win our games in hand and the title is ours. I'll even put 50p on it :Believe:
Guest Gary the Dogs Johnsons
If you're saying everyones forgotten about Yeovil - I'll agree with you. If they win on saturday, and Forest lose, then they'll be above Forest. But it's all about our next 3 games - get 7 points or more and we'll be up there with our destiny in our own hands.Re Scunny v Forest, a draw or Scunny win will suit us fine but I'm really not bothered about that result - it's all about what we do in the next 12 games and particularly the next 3.agreed, the next three games are massive. Win them and it sets us up nicely with Forest and Yeovil still to play. I still think Scunny could have a blip between now and the end of the season. It will take good management to keep them going until the end of the season as the dreaded complacency must be settling in up there, people are already saying the title is S****horpes and that could work in our favour. That said, we all know how City can bottle it just when we need to win. If I was Gary i'd just be taking each game at a time and not worry about everyone else. midland red
printed off the remaining fixtures for all three sides, and we appear to have the hardest run in with S****horpe looking like the easiest, on present form i cannot see Scunny dropping that amount of points to allow us to catch them, so i am hoping for a S****horpe win to leave Forest deflated and dejected after two consecutive defeats.yours midland red. The Batman
as far as i am concerned, as long as we get promoted i don't care where we finish, yeh, it would be nice to finish top of the league, but then Forest pull away from us a bit if they win vs scunny, i realise we have games in hand, but that don't mean that we're going to win them, so all in all, i'd rather go for a S****horpe win, that way Forest don't get any added points. Chivs
Up until now I've thought a draw is the best result but I've thought it through a bit more. What I want, really, really want is for S****horpe and Forest to lose all their remaining games except I want Forest to lose more than Scunny as this guarantees us promotion assuming we carry on winning. Therefore, I want a Scunny win on Sat and then Forest and Scunny to lose the rest of their games.I think that makes sense. samo
Whatever keeps us safely in the promotion hunt is my answer. A win for Scunny might make first place unlikely, but if it meant we were even a tiny bit closer to the ultimate goal (promotion, not the league title) then I'd be over the moon.Winning the division will not make us any less likely to drop back down next year than coming second. WTFiGO!?!
I'd like a 0-0 draw with a 31 man brawl (both managers enjoying the ruck too) akin to Inter-Valencia last night only more violent, with four men being sent off each, a few broken ribs shared around different players, oh and the ref having a big girly fit and pullin Billy Sharps hair (just for comical value really), resulting in both Club's being docked 10 points, no, make it 20 by the FA.... if you please. S****horpe would be the cautious man's preference, draw - me - I reckon we can still win this thing outright, Forest - I'd rather not - (we'd be 8 points clear of them if they lose and we beat Bentford and win our game in hand.) We all remember the QPR experiance a few years ago now don't we? Best for Forest to get flicked off if possible.

Guest Socrates
S****horpe win. The possibility of winning the league will cross my mind ONLY when we clinch promotion. Before then I couldn't care less about winning the league or finishing second. The title doesn't matter to me. All that matters is promition. If we get that out of the way, then I'll be looking at S****horpe. If we get 6 points over the next 6 days and S****horpe beat Forest then we're 8 points clear of Forest, or at worst 7 points ahead of Yeovil. At the end of the day promotion is the key. Finishing first or second would make no difference in how we'd do in the Championship. After 8 years in this division and every August thinking it's going to be our year only to be let down, the quicker we get out the better and I'm not fussy how we do it, as long as we do it.Well, I'd obviously rather go up automatically than throught the play-offs. I don't know if I could handle it!But possibly 8 points clear of Forest on Tuesday with a home game against them to come is a real possibility. No to mention a home game with Yeovil. It's in our own hands.Come on City!

samo
Let's be honest here folks, Scunny tore chunks out of Forest at the City Ground earlier this term, and that was when Forest were the form team and Scunny just dark horses. Now I'd suggest Scunny are actually playing better at the moment, whilst Forest are not as consistant as they have been. Whatever we might all hope for, I don't think S****horpe can be anything less than total, nailed-on favourites for saturday and if we are to catch up on the champions elect, it won't be the Forest game that they will most likely slip up in. It keeps us 2 points clear of them with a game in hand, plus also brings us 5 points behind scunny, with a game in hand, which, a win in that would put us 5 clear of forest and only 2 behind scunny. 22A
A few days ago I'd have had Scunny win. Following these midweek results though, Forest to beat Scunny as we are ahead of Forest and will then be closer to catching Scunny for the title.

Guest Jungle Jim
I don't think wanting Scunny to lose is as important in terms of winning the title as it is for getting promoted. We'd rather be in a battle where 3 teams are going for 2 spots than 2 teams going for 1 (although arguably I suppose if Scunny win & we win our next 2 then its fast becoming 2 teams going for 2 spots).I think a draw suits us best all round, but basically one or both of them HAS to drop points so any result is good for us. court_bcfc
I think i'd take a draw as long as we win as it helps us gain 2 points on s****horpe and pull away from forest by 2 more - better for both above and below us!

Br 1st ol
So in summary:a draw is the safest result, ie taking 2 points from eachfollowed by a scunny win, ie depriving our biggest rivals for 2nd place of 3 points...a forest win is the biggest gamble, ie closing the gap on first, but at the expense of allowing 3rd to catch up.A draw it is then please.
