openEnd Posted March 21, 2004 Share Posted March 21, 2004 Ok, you may argue the game has changed a lot but Joe Jordan - I don't remeber him having to much trouble getting decent loans in (at the drop of a hat sometimes, definitely without the weeks and weeks of junk Wilson comes out with, prior to MAYBE getting someone in) Dennis Smith (hugely underrated whilst here) - Andy Cole comes to mind. Why does DW find it so tricky to get a decent loan in? We were in the same boat last season, a certain Mark Robins papered over huge cracks then. Was it a Wilson masterstroke? frankly I think Stevie Wonder could have seen he would score goals in DIV 2. As was proved, thankfully. We won the LDV with the help of his goals and he certainly helped re-steer our waivering league form. Apart from Robins who else has there been, of note? Is Bristol City FC, 3rd in Division 2 (top 3 weeks ago) such a unappetising prospect for a month? I doubt that is the reason therfore he must be doing something wrong!
