Lat year on 37 games we had............ 65 points, 3 less than now won the same (19) lost 3 more (10) and drawn 3 less (8) whilst goals for were 13 higher, we had also let in 10 more, so goal difference was 23 rather than 20 - not a great difference. Important thing to note is the other teams just below us were either on same points or just 1 or 2 less than us, whereas this year there are 11 points between us and 7th place and 5 points between us and 4th & 5th. Equally we are only 2 points away from 2nd, last year at this time we were 5 off 2nd place. So some reasons for optimism I hope Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Crewe had 70 points and Wigan as we know were well away with 84. So we are only 2 points behind the Crewe position of last year too...............
