Taken from a article about our tour in Lativa.

Ivan Sproule - Did well for one who's new to the squad and learning

about his team mates all the time. In the second game, he tore his

full back to shreds time and time again with pace and skill. He also

seems to have end product and put in countless dangerous crosses. Does

tend to get upset about decisions that don't go his way, so Gary will

need to work on his match temperament, as away from the pitch he's as

mild-mannered as they come. Promising start to his City career -

6.5/10

Come on guys you only have to look at Colchester to see if you don't spend big your ######.

We saw posts like this last year why are people in a panic for?

In Gary I trust, has he let us down yet?

There was the initial let down of nine defeats (a club record we didn't want) following a bright start. After that it was mainly upward progress with the odd hick up along the way. However, that was in League One and GJ, like most of our squad is unproven at that level.Colchester spent very wisely in bringing in Iwelumo & Cureton laste season although one must question the wisdom of the contracts they signed them on and they've lost both this season. They have gambled again this year with Sheringham & Lisbie signing, so let's see.

Whilst we're not Man Utd, we are a far bigger club than Colchester, so we should be able to attract better players all other things being equal.

I hope that we don't lose Sproule, McAllister & McIndoe to often due to tantrums-Add in LJ and we've got some petulence in our team.Carey needs to be careful after last season as well.

From reports he sounds like he's goin to be a goood asset to the squad. But is goin to miss the first month of the season due to a 4 match ban!

GJ will have to work with him and try and control his temper, because he has potential to be a deadly weapon for us next season!

18 days to go, COME ON YOU REDS!

Good to hear he was getting past his man and getting the ball in, something that people questioned while he was at Hibs.

As for the chat back/temper, Yeah he has always been that way, i guess one of his weaknesses.

Having said that last season he did mature a bit, apart from getting a second yellow for bouncing the ball away which i thought was harsh as a Rangers player did the same and got away with it, apart from that i can't really remember him getting into much bother last season.

After a while the Refs did start to pick on him.

Hopefully he will mature in the next couple of season with you guys.

Cheers.
