England
Phillips - better today than for weeks Carey was one of several vying of motm Butler - ditto Coles was only ok Hill - ditto Murray was generally quiet but provided the pace and class to create the goal Doherty, apart from the booking and lazy pass that nearly cost a goal was great Tinnion - was obviously playing yet another game too many - time for a rest Bell was outstanding Peacock was tireless up front and in defence and had one of his best ever games Roberts, back where he belongs, up front was awsome - to the ###### behind me who was screaming "Roberts get off if you are not going to make any effort" just before he scored - get a brain transplant. Wilkshire, who is not one of my favourites, take over from Tinnion - PLEASE! Wilson - my man of the match for playing what is probably our best team. Guest Harry May
I would n't disagree with any of that. Peacock , for a C/F who did n't score , was my MOTM - I thought he was brilliant . His work rate was fantastic and his physical presence tremendous. Caldicot Red.
Guest O_Faz
England I agree absolutely with your review on every player. That in itself is shocking. Must admit it appeared from the start that Tinns wud struggle a bit with the pace of the game (being 36 n' all!) and was a good move to bring Wilkshire on. Well played City and well played Wilson

Yesterday illustrated a number of things for me..... 1. Carey/Murray down the right is a winning partnership 2. Butler has still got the skill and ability, just not as consistent as last season 3. Hill solid in defence but distribution was shocking 4. Doherty crucial player, just hope he stays fit for last 6 games 5. Bell, well don't write him off yet, think he showed he is still more than capable of holding down a place 6. Peacock contributes so much more than goals 7. Roberts is a class act as a striker (and yes it shut the guys behind me in the Williams up well and truely yesterday) 8. Wilkshire is a great replacement for Tinnion (who cannot keep going forever) and finally...... 9. Wilson is not as tactically inept as some on this forum would like to make out and deserves a lot of the credit for yesterdays performance and result

Guest Red_Rat
Just for that outstanding save I'd say Steve Philips was Man of the Matchh Carey and Murrays right side partnership was class last year,an looks to be picking up where it left off. Godzilla
Whoever you are, does England know that you're posting on his username? The positiveness gave it away I'm afraid... Can't say I dissagree though!
