This makes good reading!

SUSPENSION SHOCKER

Ian Holloway has selection problems to contend with as three players prepare to begin two-match suspensions.

It's been a costly 10 days for the Superhoops with cards in each of Rangers' last three games earning suspensions for key members of Holloway's first team squad.

First to sit out games is Martin Rowlands who will miss the visit of Grimsby on Saturday and the trip to Barnsley on Easter Monday.

His yellow card against Luton Town took his tally for the season to 10 and, like Marc Bircham before him, this earns him a two-game ban which begins this weekend.

Then, once the Easter programme is complete, Ollie must face up to losing Arthur Gnohere, who has also taken his yellow card tally in to double figures.

The Frenchman picked up his 10th at Bristol City and so will miss the games against Stockport and Plymouth.

Ollie's problems were then compounded last night when Marcus Bignot was sent off at Tranmere.

The full back received his marching orders for a professional foul - an offence that carries an automatic one-match ban.

But as Bignot has already been sent off this season, whilst still at Rushden & Diamonds, the ban is extended to two games. He will therefore miss the games against Plymouth and Swindon.

It's a worrying picture for Holloway who also has his own problems to contend with.

Having already incurred the displeasure of the FA in the past, it is likely that they will take a dim view his latest misdemeanour.

A lengthy touchline ban is a possibility, although such a punishment may not come in to effect until next season.

Either way, Rangers face a difficult month as important players watch the promotion battle unfold from the stands.

Evens things up a bit since we have the tougher run-in. I still think it's between us and QPR for the second spot, much as I'd love to overhaul Plymouth too.

It's all about bottle now, and those suspensions are just the sort of thing that work on the mind and start making the QPR players thinking that perhaps everything's going against them and it's not meant to be. Certainly sounds like they're losing their heads up at Loftus Road.

Plymouth to finish top, us second and QPR will probably win the play-offs because they're still better than the other teams in the play-off spots. That's my betting.
