cidercity1987 Posted March 8, 2008 Share Posted March 8, 2008 I was just trying to describe our style of play to a mate, and thought it best to compare us to a Prem team so he'd understand. I chose Everton because we tend to pack our midfield with tricky little players ( Johnson, Carle, McIndoe, Sproule are our Cahill, Pienaar, Osman, Arteta) with 1 up front and a solid defence. I think defensively though we are much like Chelsea, but you cant deny that our forward play is rivaled only by the Mancs, so we're a bit the top 3 and if we go counter attack we play like Liverpool. Got into the premiership playing passing football, without any major stars - and didnt look out of place when they got in there.Its something all the doubters in the national press seem to be forgetting.
